Silicone Rubber Heater
Silicone Rubber Heater
Often referred to as “flexible heaters,” silicone rubber heaters are made of fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubbers that are non-toxic, tough, flame-retardant, and resistant to chemicals and moisture. Heat circuits made of wire or etched foil are sandwiched between two silicone “wafers,” giving them strength and flexibility.
Heat may be directed exactly where it is needed with silicone rubber heaters. These heaters reduce wattage requirements, speed up warm-ups, and enhance heat transfer. Fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber stabilizes the heater dimensions without compromising flexibility. Heat transfer is quick and efficient due to minimal material between the element and the heated part. Because of their extremely thin construction, these heaters are ideal for applications with limited space.

Construction
- The lead wire consists of high-temperature resistance wire wound around a fibreglass core for added support and flexibility
- Silicone rubber is rugged, moisture and chemical resistant, flame retardant, have high dielectric strength.
- Nickel Chromium Resistance wire for maximum life, evenly wound for even heat distribution. The vulcanization process is used to attach the power leads and cord sets to the heater winding.
