Ceramic Band Heater

The maximum operating temperature of ceramic band heaters, which are medium-to-high temperature heaters, is 648°C. Energy-efficient ceramic fiber jackets are an optional feature of these robust heaters. Ceramic band warmers are completely flexible, come with a variety of termination designs, and can accept cutouts and holes. A flexible outer wall composed of unique, interlocking ceramic tiles (KNUCKLES), which are put together similarly to a brick wall, contains a nickel-chrome wire inserted in it.

This assembly is covered by a stainless steel/aluminized steel jacket and an insulating ceramic fiber mat. In addition to preventing heat loss, this structure uses 20% less electricity. Different clamping methods, termination types, holes, cut-outs, and perforations can all be found in ceramic band warmers. Fit is less important than in other kinds of bands since the element winding is made to heat the ceramic blocks until they radiate energy into the barrel and conduct energy by coming into touch with it.

  • Stainless steel sheath: Generally we use aluminium coated sheath for oxidation resistance in a wide variety of environment but can also provide SS 304 stainless steel as per application requirements.
  • Screw Terminals: Screw terminals for maximum amperage carrying capacity and a firm connection with the winding.
  • Terminal Box: To provide protection against exposed terminals and helps guard terminals from spill over's, dripping. Various terminal type use such as crimp on lead ceramic connector type with using of copper lug crimping and SS bolded terminal.
  • Resistance wire: Nickel Chromium 80/20 resistance wire for maximum heater life evenly wound for even heat distribution.
  • Ceramic fiber insulation: Ceramic fibres are used as insulation materials, because of their ability to withstand high temperatures.
  • Ceramic knuckles: High purity aluminium oxide ceramic knuckles selected for heating element winding process and maximum dielectric strength and thermal conductivity highly compacted for maximum heat transfer.
